LUBBOCK, Texas — The Texas Tech police department has received commendation from the Department of Public Safety for handling a potential methamphetamine lab in a dormitory.
Campus police discovered the materials necessary to start a meth lab on Friday evening. The student, who lived in the dorm room, had not been there for days. Because the lab was not operational, it wasn’t an immediate threat to other students, Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.
