Md. High School Shooter Put on Suicide Watch

BALTIMORE — A teen charged with shooting and wounding his classmate at Perry Hall High School on Aug. 27 was put on suicide watch while being treated at a psychiatric hospital.

Robert Gladden Jr.’s lawyer commented on the suicide watch while requesting that Gladden’s bail review hearing be delayed until his medical records were obtained — a request that was granted, the Associated Press reports. Gladden has been released from the hospital and transferred to a county detention center.

An attorney also said that Gladden would like to eventually apologize to the wounded student, Daniel Borowy. Borowy was released Monday from the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
