Girl Attacks 2 Students With Butcher Knife in School Bathroom

EVERETT, Wash. — A 15-year-old girl from Snohomish High School who allegedly stabbed two other students on Oct. 24 planned the attack over the weekend, according to prosecutors.

The girl was ordered held for investigation for first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault during a juvenile court hearing on Oct. 25, The Seattle Times reports. Bail was set at $1 million.

The girl brought an 8-inch butcher knife and a second knife to school and waited in a campus restroom for others to leave before attacking a freshman girl. The girl suffered 20 to 25 stab wounds, some of which pierced her heart and lungs. Another girl who came to the victim’s defense was also stabbed.

The suspect and victims did not know each other, according to, Snohomish Police Chief John Turner.
