ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — Fourteen cameras were installed at Arlington Heights elementary school after the school had problems with people climbing on the roof.
There have been four arrests since the cameras were installed, the Chicago Tribune reports. In addition, instances or vandalism have dropped from 25 per year to just five in the past six months, according to Mike Brown, director of facilities at the Dryden Central School District
Other district elementary schools, including Westgate and Olive-Mary Stitt, are being considered for video security systems, Brown said.
