A former middle school contract security systems installer in Maryland will be on probation for five years after entering a guilty plea related to the sexual assault of a student.

John Epps faces probation, will register as a sex offender, submit to a sex offender risk assessment and cannot have contact with young girls after allegedly touching a 12-year-old student at Baker Middle School outside Washington, D.C.

Epps was working on a security camera when another camera caught the “unsolicited and unwanted touch” of a student, according to court documents. He was charged with a fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault.

Epps had worked in over 50 Montgomery County Public Schools and was arrested four years ago in a different county for similar charges, reports nbcwashington.com.
