15-Year-Old Arrested in Ind. Middle School Shooting

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody this morning after a shooting occurred in the vestibule of Martinsville West Middle School. Another 15-year-old boy was shot twice in his abdomen and is in stable condition at a local hospital.  

Police discovered the alleged shooter two blocks away from the school in a wooded area near South Elementary School, ABC News reports. He had been suspended from Martinsville West two days earlier.

According to police, the motive of the shooting is still unclear. There are reports of a fight at a school dance that took place last weekend that may have led to the shooting.
