Spotlight on K-12 Campus Safety Director of the Year Finalist Paul Garcia

Congratulations to Lynwood USD Chief of Security Paul Garcia for being named one of this year’s K-12 Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Here are some of his notable achievements:

Implemented an anonymous reporting tool, resulting in a 5% reduction in student suspensions and 1,500 students being connected to mental health services.
Installed an intercom access control system so visitors are now required to check in at the front entrance and identify themselves via a camera and microphone.
Installed a visitor management system to quickly screen visitors and provide them with a temporary pass.
