Two students were injured in a shooting that occurred outside Frederick High School on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at 8 p.m. while a basketball game was being played. Although both of the victims did not sustain life-threatening injuries, they were flown to a hospital in Baltimore.
Immediately after the shooting, authorities locked down the facility and took about 200 people at the game into the cafeteria. Witnesses to the shooting were questioned, and then the students were released to their parents.
The suspect or suspects have not been apprehended by police. Thursday’s classes have been canceled.
