California State University’s Los Angeles campus is open Monday after two teens who do not attend the school were shot in a campus parking lot Sunday night.

The first day of Spring Quarter will resume as normal Monday despite an active investigation into the nonfatal shooting of two teenagers near the university’s transit center, according to the csulauniversitytimes.com.

Campus police received a call around 9 p.m. Sunday night about the shooting and the two victims were taken to the USC Medical Center. The university’s chief of police Rick Wall said the victims were gang related and may have been followed into the parking lot by the shooter. Wall also said there is no threat to the campus.
