A 14-year-old female was arrested in Ontario after police say she began attacking random people in a high school’s hallways with knives Feb. 23.
The student was eventually tackled to the ground by three teachers, but not until nine people had suffered injuries, according to cp24.com. Only four of the victims required hospitalization and no serious injuries were reported.
The attack began around 8:30 a.m. when Durham police got a call about a girl wielding two kitchen knives in the hallways at Dunbarton High School in Pickering, Ontario. Students who witnessed the attack described a chaotic scene as people frantically ran from the girl and teachers tried to shelter students in their classrooms.

Durham Police Sergeant Bill Calder said the suspect ran through several hallways over the course of the attack. By the time police arrived at the school the suspect had been detained and was being held down.
The nine victims of the attack include the three teachers that tackled the suspect and six students.
Police have not released a motive for the suspect, who has not been named. A social media site believed to belong to the suspect features a goodbye post promising a stabbing at the school.
Police instituted a lockdown at the school when they arrived and executed a controlled released beginning at 10 a.m. after searching the building. Charges have not been filed.
