French School Hostage-Taker Releases Last Hostage

PARIS — An armed man who took children and a parent hostage at a school complex Tuesday released his last hostage, but remains inside the building.

The elite Raid police force was in contact with the hostage-taker in order to negotiate with him, the Associated Press reports. He released the children before releasing his last hostage, a parent.

The complex includes nursery and elementary schools.
