BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Surveillance video from Jane Phillips Medical Center allegedly shows two Bartlesville police officers assaulting a patient in Sept. 2011.
The video was taken as officers Stacy Neafus and Sonya Worthington were arresting a supposedly combative patient who was potentially suicidal, News On 6 reports. A judge ruled last week that the city had to release the copies of the video after Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise newspaper and News On 6 separately requested it under the Oklahoma Open Records Act.
Worthington and Neafus have both been fired and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.
