The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Foundation announced on Thursday that it is conducting its annual healthcare crime survey.
The survey is intended to help U.S. hospital security executives identify crime trends; justify security expenditures to protect employees, patients and visitors; reduce the potential for liability for negligent or inadequate security; as well as help directors and managers benchmark the functional breadth and depth of their departments.
Last year’s survey found that hospital assaults hit an all-time high in 2020.
Like in previous years, the 2022 survey is confidential, and the identities of participants will not be released. Organizations that participate will not have their information released outside of the IAHSS Foundation.
