JACKSON, Tenn. – A former male student who is believed to have fired shots near a dorm at Lane College turned himself into police on Tuesday.
Vinton Antonio Grant, 18, surrendered to police about six hours after the shots were fired, reports WBBJTV.com. Witnesses told authorities that Grant fired at least three shots in the vicinity of some students and then ran away. He’s been charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
The news source is reporting that emergency text messages were not sent out after the incident.
