PORTLAND, Ore. — In response to the disappearance of Kyron Horman in June 2010, a petition has been entered to have the Kyron’s Law – School Safety and Prevention Act signed into law.
The proposal would require surveillance cameras to be installed in all public schools and school buses nationwide, KPTV reports. Supporters say this would provide critical information to police and school officials during investigations into school crime.
Horman, who was enrolled in the second grade at Skyline Elementary School at the time of his disappearance, was never found.
