LONG BEACH, Calif. — California State University Long Beach went into lockdown Tuesday after two students spotted what they thought was a man holding a gun. He was actually carrying a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone.
An emergency alert was transmitted around 3:30 p.m., warning people about an “armed subject” on campus, reports the Los Alamitos Patch. The all-clear was sent around 4 p.m.
Coincidentally, the school held an active shooter drill earlier that same day.
