CLIFTON, N.J. — The Clifton Board of Education voted to install surveillance cameras at its two middle schools to improve security.
Administrators hope to add the cameras in both Woodrow Wilson and Christopher Columbus middle schools by next summer. The district estimates that it will cost roughly $279,850 to install 112 cameras between both schools.
In 2012, officials installed an extensive camera network, which first responders can access, at Clifton High School. The projects at the middle schools will be similar, NorthJersey.com reports.
