New Langston U Security Measures Increase Safety

LANGSTON, Okla. — Students feel that new security measures have made Langston University safer. The measures were implemented a year ago, after a campus party ended in gunshots.

The university added welcome centers, cameras and more officers, News On 6 reports. Enhanced security measures are now going city-wide, since the university campus covers most of the city of Langston.

Langston Police Chief Jeff Jenkins said he is implementing foot and bike patrols to deter crime in the city.
