The University of Wisconsin, La Crosse and SUNY Oneonta were the institutions of higher education that made the most on-campus alcohol and drug arrests, respectively, in 2012.
That’s according to a report released by Rehabs.com that reviewed the arrest rates of U.S. colleges with more than 5,000 students.
In a state-to-state comparison, South Dakota made the most alcohol busts on campus in 2012, while Hawaii made the fewest. The Aloha State also made the fewest on-campus drug arrests, while West Virginia made the most.

The report is based on data from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education for all colleges receiving any federal financial aid. The Clery Act requires colleges to track, disclose and report drug and alcohol incidents.
