Texas Rangers Investigating University Officer-Involved Shooting

The identities of the people involved in Saturday's shooting have not been released.

Texas Rangers are investigating a non-fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred outside Houston on Dec. 26.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. when a Sam Houston State University police officer shot a woman in Huntsville, according to itemonline.com.

The woman was transferred to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston and is expected to survive.

The identities of the officer and the victim have not been released and the Texas Rangers have not released any details of their investigation.

The university’s police department employs 26 commissioned and licensed Peace Officers.
